Ex-WWE Champion Confirms Retirement; He’s Just 39-Years-Old
A former WWE Superstar has officially confirmed that he is done competing inside the squared circle on a full-time basis.
Mojo Rawley joined the sports entertainment juggernaut and made his television debut on NXT in May 2013. He had a decent run in WWE, winning the 24/7 Championship on seven occasions. Rawley was let go from the Stamford-based promotion in 2021.
Following his WWE run, Rawley co-founded Paragon Talent Group, which boasts several top talent under its wing.
Mojo Rawley has ended all doubt about his in-ring future after WWE stint
During a recent interview with TSC Wrestling, Rawley made it certain that he is retired as a full-time wrestler despite teasing a comeback for “almost six years.” For those unaware, the 39-year-old star’s last match was against Shorty G in June 2020.
Mojo Rawley, however, stated that he does plan to return to in-ring action somewhere down the line, but for one night only.
“Fulltime, buddy. I am retired even though I have been teasing the comeback for what, almost six years at this point. Having a little fun with it. To that point, I do plan on coming back at some point for, like, one night only. One fun match here and there, find a piece of business that makes a lot of sense.”
“I’ve been going in and training, you know, since I’ve been retired. I love it. I miss it. I can’t do it full-time. It doesn’t make any sense for me in just all the ways right now,” he said.
It will be interesting to see if WWE brings Mojo Rawley back for one special night to give him a fitting sendoff.
