Ex-AEW Star Gets Emotional Ahead Of WWE Debut

A former AEW star never thought they’d be a part of anything as big as the WWE Royal Rumble.

Former AEW Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs stunned many when he made his debut for WWE at the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Hobbs’ AEW name appeared on the video screen before his new moniker, Royce Keys, was unveiled, and that will be the name he goes by moving forward.

Keys lasted just under ten minutes in the match, eliminating Damian Priest before being dumped out by The Vision’s Bronson Reed.

Ex-AEW Star Overwhelmed By WWE Scale

Now, WWE has released a video of Royce Keys taking in his new surroundings before he made his debut for the company. As he took in the stadium and the scale of the staging, Keys was clearly emotional as he noted:

This is wild. This is like something out of a movie, man. It’s just this whole setup. Walking out this aisle and into this ring and this background. It’s pretty amazing, man. Just getting goosebumps under this sweatshirt, so it’s crazy. Looking at the ring, the seat, stage setup, it’s real. Never thought I’d be a part of something this big. This is huge.
