Ethan Page and Ricky Saints are two of the biggest names on the NXT roster currently, and both of them are hugely popular with the fans, despite being heels on the show.

However, neither men hold any championships currently, and it is leading to frustrations amongst the two. They have formed an alliance of sorts for the last few weeks, but it hasn’t helped them in their respective title matches.

Saints tried to help Page in his North American Championship defense against Myles Borne, but All Ego still lost. Then, Page tried to help Ricky at Vengeance Day, but inadvertently cost him the match against Joe Hendry.

Ethan Page pinned the NXT Champion, Joe Hendry, on tonight’s show

The duo took on Borne and Hendry in tag team action in the main event tonight, knowing that a win would boost their chances of a title shot. The match shifted momentum at times, but the heels were mostly in control of the bout.

Saints and Page formed a formidable team, but they had issues of their own that kept creeping up. However, they weren’t big enough to cost them the match tonight as they earned the win over the champions.

Page performed a blind tag on Saints and got himself in the match after Ricky had hit a spear on Hendry. He was then taken out by Myles, but the referee took him back to his corner. Page took advantage of the distraction and hit a Twisted Grin to Joe Hendry on top of the NXT title and picked up the win for his team.
