Embarrassing Mistake? Roman Reigns Breaks Major Rule On WWE RAW
Roman Reigns was present on the latest episode of WWE RAW, and he engaged in a war of words with CM Punk.
However, he managed to get under Punk’s skin, prompting The Best in the World to punch him.
Roman Reigns claimed that he is better than Punk at everything, whether it’s wrestling or appearance, and concluded by calling him “old”. This was the last straw for the World Heavyweight Champion, and he hit Reigns with a jab across his face.
Roman Reigns should not have called CM Punk “old”
On Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer pointed out that one of the first things about a promo is not to refer to the opponent as old or fat, because it does not age well if one loses.
Promo class 101, when you’re insulting your opponent, the biggest thing you’re never supposed to do, you’re never supposed to call your opponent fat and out of shape, or old. You know why? Because when you get punched in your face, and you get dropped, the ‘old’ guy just dropped you.
If you’re saying somebody is old, and you’re in the main event of WrestleMania, you’re going toe-to-toe, and you can’t beat an old guy.

The Best in the World was called out for claiming that he would bury Roman Reigns beside his late father, Sika Anoa’i. Previously, the WWE RAW segment was supposed to be darker, where The OTC brought up Punk’s late dog, Larry, but that was cancelled.
