Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre knows fans want him to use the “Broken Dreams” song again and now he’s added that if uses it again, he wants the fans to sing along with it.

The “Broken Dreams” theme song used by McIntyre was part of his first run in WWE. The song was part of his entrance from 2010 to 2012. The lyrics to the song were great and seemed to fit McIntyre perfectly. When he came back to WWE in 2017 and on Raw in 2018, he was given the current theme song he has now.

McIntyre recently spoke exclusively to Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes and made it clear that he wants to use the song again one day.

“Yeah – I say it all the time in every interview I get asked, which is almost every interview, eventually it’s going to happen. I imagine it’s going to be in a bigger event, it might be as part of a package – we did that in NXT, prior to my match with Bobby Roode when I won the NXT title, we used a part of it and people were absolutely buzzing.”

The two-time former WWE Champion McIntyre added that rather than using the music on its own, he was thinking of maybe combining it with his current theme like when Edge entered to the Brood music at SummerSlam this year before his regular song kicked in.

“I see it more like as a combination like Edge did just at SummerSlam there, with the Brood into his new music. If we could use it in some capacity at the beginning, cutting into the war pipes, which is more suitable for who I am today.”

In addition to that, McIntyre hopes that if he can convince WWE to let him use the theme again, that fans will sing along with “Broken Dreams” the way they sing “Judas” for Chris Jericho in AEW. If not, McIntyre said he would be “devastated” by it.

“The thing I always say is, everybody please learn the words because if I somehow convince management ‘we gotta use this, because the fans love it, they’re all waiting for it, they’ve been asking me for it for years, they know all the words’, and I walk out there and nobody knows the words and they don’t sing it like Jericho’s song, I’ll be devastated, and I’m going to have to go back with my tail between my legs going ‘I was wrong’.”

If McIntyre does get to use the song, he would join Jeff Hardy in bringing back an old entrance song that was popular. When the WWE fans were allowed back at shows in July, Jeff Hardy got to use “No More Words” as his entrance music again and the fans loved it.
