Drew McIntyre Stands His Ground On WWE Locker Room Comments
Drew McIntyre has no remorse for his comments about the WWE locker room.
Known for mincing no words, the Scottish Warrior recently put the majority of his peers on blast while speaking on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast.
McIntyre will feature in a celebrity tag team match at SummerSlam, teaming with Paul, against Randy Orton and Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll.
Late last month, the 40-year-old star said that many of his colleagues had no business being in the locker room based on their appearance.
These days, no offense, but 85% of our guys don’t look like they should be in WWE or (on) Netflix. …these other guys look like they should be serving me my fast food at McDonald’s. When it looks like I could kick their ass, it takes me out of it.
Drew McIntyre Reaffirms His Stand
On the day of his SummerSlam bout, Drew McIntyre doubled down on his comments during an interview on The Ringer when asked about the locker room’s reaction to his comment.
You’ve got eyeballs, you tell me. Am I lying? Would you have said something to me?
McIntyre also issued a warning to the locker room before anyone came looking for him.
I always say, “If you got a problem, take it up with me. If you got a big problem, then fight me.” I’m gonna verbally rip you apart. You can try on social media—I can rip you apart on there too. I’m too quick with my brain, I’m too big to beat up, so what you gonna do? If I wasn’t married, I’d take your girl. I ain’t one to mess with. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
McIntyre and Paul recently interrupted Jelly Roll’s private wrestling session and assaulted him. Randy Orton was unfortunately not training with Jelly Roll.
