Drew McIntyre Not Facing Randy Orton At WWE WrestleMania
Drew McIntyre is going to face Cody Rhodes before WrestleMania 42.
What happens on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown will truly dictate the WrestleMania 42 match card.
At the moment, Randy Orton has been confirmed for The Show of Shows after he won the Elimination Chamber men’s match.
WWE might be looking into a non-title match for Drew McIntyre
Previous reports had stated that the global juggernaut is looking into Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship match. In fact, it has been speculated to have more juice than The American Nightmare vs. The Scottish Warrior.
Now, reports from Bodyslam.net are claiming that the Stamford-based promotion might move forward with booking Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu for WrestleMania 42. It seems to be on the company’s radar, and would put McIntyre against one of the most physically dominating rising stars of the roster.
The change to the title match is also credited to the fact that Drew McIntyre will immediately start filming for Highlander after WrestleMania 42. Therefore, the Undisputed WWE Championship match needs to be between superstars who can continue representing the title.

On the other hand, a Fatal Four-Way between Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, and Jacob Fatu has also been suggested.
