Drew McIntyre Makes Huge Return To WWE

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre is back in WWE and he has sent a strong message to Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre was last seen in WWE at WrestleMania 39 when he lost an Intercontinental Title match featuring GUNTHER and Sheamus. Since then speculation has run rampant over the Scottish star’s future in the company with McIntyre said to be unhappy about his creative direction with less than a year to run on his contract.

However, those rumors look to be put to bed after McIntyre made his presence felt at Money In The Bank in a huge way.

At Money In The Bank in London, England the Ring General GUNTHER put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Matt Riddle. Riddle’s taped ankle proved to be a target for the champion with GUNTHER forcing his opponent to tap out to retain his title.

After the match, however, GUNTHER’s future appeared to get a lot more difficult as he looks to become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. Drew McIntyre’s music hit as he made his way to the ring to a huge ovation. McIntyre nailed GUNTHER with a massive Claymore before hoisting the Intercontinental Title high in the air, signaling his intentions to go after that title once again.
