Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio’s relationship was not the only romance angle WWE had planned for The Judgment Day.

Following Dominik Mysterio’s addition to The Judgment Day, he became Rhea Ripley’s on-screen boyfriend. He later dumped Mami to enter a relationship with her fierce rival, Liv Morgan.

As the faction later recruited Carlito and Raquel Rodriguez, the two appeared to show interest in each other, seemingly teasing another potential romance angle within the group. However, it never materialized.

In a recent interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Carlito addressed the scrapped plans, revealing that WWE only brought up the idea once before dropping it. Regardless, he and Rodriguez tried to keep the angle going on their own.

Another thing, just like I was not the main focus of the Judgment Day. They were always Dom and Liv, so it’s these ideas they threw apart. But then there would be no follow-up. So Raquel and I would do little things to keep it going. So it’s kind of up to us.

That was another thing, because it was another thing I could work off. Because going back to what I said, it’s probably this guy that doesn’t get the girl, so this was kind of the way I could be goofed by he to make it more comedic. So that was, yeah, those are just little things that we would do. But the origin that they said one week, and then after that, they didn’t bring it up anymore.

When asked about the planned outcome of the storyline and whether he and Rodriguez were supposed to kiss, Carlito admitted that he had no idea.

I don’t know about that. Like I said, it was kind of just her and I just keeping the thing going. I remember, I don’t know if it was on Twitter or something, when this whole thing with Raquel started, somebody posted, ‘Isn’t Carlito like super old? [H/T: CVV]
