Danhausen Is Exactly What WWE Needs, Says Hall Of Famer
A WWE Hall of Famer thinks Danhausen has been a great fit in the company.
Danhausen has been in WWE for over two months, and he’s 3-0 as a wrestler after picking up his first PLE win.
After numerous issues with The Miz and Kit Wilson since he started on SmackDown, Danhausen faced the duo in a tag team match at Backlash.
Going into the match, the unknown was who would team with Danhausen? There were a lot of big names speculated as Danhausen’s partner, including former WWE World Champion CM Punk, singer Jelly Roll, Royce Keys and even Oba Femi, but it wasn’t any of them.
Danhausen’s partner was a “clone” of himself, but the cloning didn’t work smoothly, so it ended up being Minihausen (a little person) dressed like Danny.
Even though Danhausen and Minihausen appeared to have a disadvantage going into the match, they found a way to beat Miz and Wilson since Minihausen was so impressive in the match. Danhausen went on to get the win for his team.
On the Backlash post-show, Danhausen addressed the speculation about who his partner would be.
“Here’s the thing, people go ‘Oh, it’s confirmed it’s Cola-Man Punk, oh it’s confirmed it’s Oba Femi.’ They’re great, however… who said that? Who put that responsibility on me? I didn’t even want to find one [partner], why would I ask them?
It’s Jelly Roll, it’s Cola-Man Punk, it’s Oba,’ I saw these were confirmed stories by the way. All three within a week, all confirmed. I should’ve had all of them.”
AJ Styles Supports Danhausen In WWE
The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame was headlined by the great AJ Styles, who is a 2-time WWE Champion, along with a former IWGP World Champion in NJPW and TNA World Champion.
As a pro wrestler, Styles will forever be remembered for being one of the best in-ring performers in wrestling history. However, Styles knows that pro wrestling is about different characters too. On The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Styles praised Danhausen and said he fills a need in WWE.
“From what I can see, his comedic timing is perfect. They put him in there with The Miz, which is perfect, and man, it’s so good.
It’s pretty awesome, dude. He’s doing a great job, and this is what we need. I think a lot of people don’t understand it.
We need a little bit of everything. We want to make sure you get the entertainment from wrestling, but also we want to make you laugh, too. And we’ve got storylines. We want to give you a little bit of everything.
Danhausen is definitely filling that need.”
While WWE has yet to confirm it, Danhausen appears to be a SmackDown talent since he’s been on the blue brand regularly and had matches on that show, while yet he has yet to win on Raw.
In addition to beating The Miz and Kit Wilson as a tag team at Backlash, Danhausen has also beaten Miz and Wilson in singles matches, both of which were short matches.
