WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has been struck with bad news in his real life.

The Scottish Psychopath got his chance to enter WrestleMania 42 as the Undisputed Champion, but it was stolen because of Cody Rhodes and Nick Aldis. While he got himself back in the ‘Mania picture, a new tragedy has befallen him.

Drew McIntyre Grieves a Personal Loss

Taking to Instagram, the Scottish Warrior posted several pictures of himself and his wife along with their cat, Chaz. Captioning the post, McIntyre informed that the cat is no longer in this world and is a departed soul now.

You were once in a lifetime, Chaz ❤️”

Notably, Chaz was battling a liver disease and had come very close to passing away around WrestleMania 41. However, while the cat survived back then, they met their demise on April 1, 2026.

Despite facing this personal loss, WWE hasn’t removed Drew McIntyre from the advertisements of the upcoming SmackDown episode on April 3, 2026, so far. The show will be held in St. Louis, where the Scotsman will continue the storyline for his WrestleMania 42 match.

The former Undisputed Champion will be facing Jacob Fatu in an unsanctioned match at WM42. Nick Aldis made the announcement last week, stating that WWE won’t take any responsibility for the two of them at ‘Mania as they have become a liability for the company.

Ahead of this, Drew McIntyre had attacked Jacob Fatu two weeks ago and pulled him through the windshield of his car. The duo kept brawling throughout the SmackDown episode before climbing onto a high building and falling off in their violent stupor.

The Samoan Werewolf believes that McIntyre is the man who had attacked and injured him backstage in October 2025. On the other hand, The Scottish Warrior denies this claim, stating that everyone in WWE assumes that he is guilty until proven innocent.

Fatu took responsibility for costing McIntyre the Undisputed Championship on the SmackDown episode right after the 2026 Elimination Chamber. It would be interesting to see which of these two men buries the other in Las Vegas.
