Sending Our Deepest Condolences To Pat McAfee And His Family
Pat McAfee and his family are currently mourning a loss.
Pat McAfee, who is a former WWE commentator and NFL punter, was controversially involved in the WWE Title storyline for WrestleMania 42.
However, off-screen, the former NFL star and his family are grieving the loss of their dog, Valerie Ann.
McAfee’s wife shared a heartfelt Instagram post in memory of their dog, one she reveals battled cancer four times.
Last night we said goodbye to our girl, Valerie Ann.
14 years was never going to be enough time with you. You fought harder than anyone could have expected. Beating cancer four times, and even when it came back again, you still showed us what strength, resilience, and love looked like. You faced every challenge with bravery, from shar pei fever to losing your hearing, and even in your hardest moments, you remained the sweetest, most gentle soul.
You didn’t just change our lives, you changed so many others. Because of you, we were inspired to start a Fur The Brand foundation that has helped hundreds of families through their own canine cancer battles and get more time with their beloved dogs. That is your legacy. That is your impact.
Valerie passed peacefully at home, in our arms, surrounded by love and some chocolate treats, exactly where she belonged.
You were truly one of a kind, so intelligent, so strong, and so deeply loved.
Thank you for everything you gave us. We will carry you with us forever.
Run free, sweet girl 🤍
Our condolences to Pat McAfee and his family.

Pat McAfee Said He Would Leave Pro Wrestling If Randy Orton Lost At WrestleMania 42
Pat McAfee’s controversial inclusion in the WWE Championship storyline by the company’s higher-ups came with a ton of backlash from fans and critics.
Many failed to understand why he was chosen as the one behind Randy Orton’s heel turn when there were multiple options available. It was later revealed that TKO and WWE brought McAfee, a celebrity, into the WWE Title feud to help boost ticket sales for WrestleMania 42.
The promos got confusing, and there were multiple fourth-wall breaks with McAfee calling out WWE’s current product by asking for them to go back to the glory days of the Attitude Era in the 1990s.
McAfee was set to take Randy Orton to his 15th WWE World Title by being on his side at WrestleMania 42 and helping him “save the business” from the clutches of Cody Rhodes, whom McAfee thought was a corporate champion. However, towards the end of the WWE Title bout at WrestleMania 42, Orton turned on McAfee and hit him with the RKO. Rhodes took advantage of the situation and picked up the victory over The Viper, essentially sealing McAfee’s fate.
