Cody Rhodes is set to compete in this year’s Elimination Chamber match. This year’s Elimination Chamber event will take place on February 28 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
The men’s Elimination Chamber match will feature Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Jey Uso. The winner will earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.
Cody Rhodes is Eager To Face Je’Von Evans
Ahead of the Elimination Chamber event in Chicago, Cody Rhodes appeared on ESPN’s Get Up to discuss the upcoming premium live event. During the conversation, The American Nightmare was asked who he was most looking forward to facing inside the Elimination Chamber.
Rhodes replied that he is eager to lock horns with Je’Von Evans, noting that Evans is the youngest competitor in this year’s match. He added that Evans is very talented and has been making waves in the wrestling industry.
Rhodes said, “Je’von Evans, without a doubt, because Je’von Evans is our youngest guy, I think, competing in the elimination chamber, and if you haven’t seen what Je’von Evans can do yet, it’s truly amazing.
He’s changing the game the same way AJ Styles changed the game years ago, but also when you taste the steel on these type of matches, it’s a different vibe. There’s a different level of grit to it, and I want to see if he can match everyone in there.” (From 0:56)
The upcoming premium live event will also feature a Women’s Elimination Chamber match for a championship opportunity.
Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Kiana James, and Raquel Rodriguez will compete inside the steel structure for a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at WrestleMania.
