Cody Rhodes’ Sidekick Makes WWE Debut

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes stunned the wrestling world when he announced he was leaving AEW in early 2022 before returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and now he’s introduced another member of his Nightmare Family to the company as Pharaoh appeared on Raw.

Cody Rhodes has had his quest to become a world champion in WWE derailed in recent weeks as he deals with Dominik Mysterio. The young Judgment Day star has nailed Rhodes with cheap shots in recent weeks with the two men set for a big one-on-one match at Money In The Bank in London, England on July 1st.

On Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes appeared in the opening segment as he interrupted Mysterio and Rhea Ripley, building up their match. Despite his wrist issues, Rhodes still had work to do later in the night as he tangled with Damian Priest in the main event.

In a hard-fought battle, Rhodes picked up the win but Mysterio had the last word yet again as he got in another cheap shot in on The American Nightmare.

Before that match took place, however, there was a big debut on the show that took place in Rhodes’ home state of Georgia. The legend that is Pharaoh was seen backstage with Rhodes before he did a short promo. Rhodes’ husky gained fame through appearances on Being The Elite and accompanied Rhodes to the ring for his NWA World Title bout with Nick Aldis at All In in 2018 as well as making a few appearances in AEW.

Thankfully, given the amount of pyro on WWE shows – not least for Cody Rhodes himself – Pharaoh was kept backstage and well away from it.
