Cody Rhodes Loses Undisputed WWE Championship After Brutal Assault On SmackDown
Cody Rhodes fell victim to another attack on WWE SmackDown for a second successive week after things got incredibly heated between Pat McAfee and the Undisputed WWE Champion.
McAfee questioned Cody’s equation with the CCO, Triple H, and that sent Rhodes over the edge. He almost took Pat out in the ring before being halted by Randy Orton’s presence on the giant screen.
He was standing over a laid out Jelly Roll before dragging the Grammy winning artist onto the ring ramp. Cody went right after Randy but he ran backstage, leaving Jelly Roll out.

Cody was checking on the singer before McAfee tried to jump him from behind. Rhodes sensed McAfee creeping up behind him and went after the former NFL star once again.
However, this allowed Randy to sneak up behind him and he took Cody out. Both Randy and Pat began attacking the champion before Jelly recovered and caught Pat in a chokehold.

Before he could hit him with a chokeslam, Randy knocked him out once again. This distraction allowed Cody to get some advantage, he was outnumbered once again and knocked out in the ring.
Randy Orton hit a Spike DDT on his former protege before Pat McAfee picked up Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship and posed with the belt before taking it with him and keeping the title hostage.
