Cody Rhodes showed off gruesome face injuries in a surprise WWE RAW appearance.

The American Nightmare went head-to-head with his former friend and mentor, Randy Orton, in an Undisputed WWE Championship Match last Saturday at WrestleMania 42.

Although Rhodes emerged victorious to retain his title, he fell victim to a vicious attack from The Viper. The 14-time world champion even brought back the banned punt kick to take the champion out.

Cody Rhodes’ Face Appeared In Shocking Condition On WWE RAW

As CM Punk headed to the ring tonight on RAW to address his defeat against Roman Reigns last night in their World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania, he was interrupted by Cody Rhodes.

The Second City Saint was surprised by The American Nightmare’s appearance, and more so by the condition of his face. The 40-year-old Undisputed Champion had a gnarly black eye and visible stitches on his forehead. The left side of his face was also still swollen.

Punk acknowledged Rhodes’ injuries by taking a deep look at them before the two engaged in a battle of words.
