CM Punk is featured heavily in the WWE cold open video for Elimination Chamber in his hometown of Chicago.

The WWE Elimination Chamber PLE will be a homecoming for CM Punk in his hometown of Chicago. The United Center will host the PLE as Punk defends the World Heavyweight Title against former Universal Champion Finn Balor.

Punk grew up in Chicago and still lives there with his wife, AJ Lee, who will face Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title at the Elimination Chamber PLE.

Since Punk is from Chicago, it made sense for him to narrate the cold open video package that WWE’s Triple H shared across social media and other WWE outlets.

Here’s what Punk says in the cold open video:

“People ask me, ‘Does pressure bother you?’ Pressure feels like this city I grew up in. Like the walls that shake when the trains go by, the wind that hits you head on.

Growing up here, you learn how to stay calm when it’s loud. To think straight when everything is closing in. That’s why the Chamber never rattled me.

Whether it’s one-on-one on the outside or a battle on the inside, when that door slams shut and the world goes quiet, everyone feels that weight. Getting through it isn’t a win, it’s the price for chasing what matters most. So all this pressure? Feels like home.”

The video also highlighted the wrestlers in the other matches on the show, along with clips of memorable moves from past Chamber matches.

CM Punk Thinks Of Roman Reigns As The Ultimate WWE Opponent

If CM Punk loses to Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber, it would be a major shock, since Punk is scheduled to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42 because Reigns earned the title shot by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble.

Regarding the WrestleMania 42 match with Reigns, CM Punk admitted that the Tribal Chief feels like his ultimate WWE opponent, since Reigns’ rise occurred after Punk left the company in 2014, and now Punk will get a chance to prove he’s a better man.

“Yeah, I think so. I think it’s fair to say. You know, that Roman didn’t exist when I left. He likes to say that they called him, they said, ‘Save this place, yada yada yada.’

There wasn’t that Roman Reigns when I left. So, my absence allowed him to grow into what he became and who he is now. So, yeah, in NBA terms, imagine if you could see MJ versus LeBron in a one-on-one game.”

The next WWE PLE is Elimination Chamber on February 28th in Chicago. Here’s the lineup so far:
