CM Punk On Roman Reigns’ WWE Feud: “This Is Personal”

CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns has been booked as the main event for Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

At WrestleMania 41, The OTC and The Best in the World worked a Triple Threat Match against Seth Rollins. Paul Heyman betrayed both Reigns and Punk to align with The Visionary.

To Reigns, the original betrayal started with Heyman choosing Punk over him to walk down with at WrestleMania 41. That fire fueled the championship match.

While speaking to Metro, the World Heavyweight Champion pointed out that having thin skin would not allow anyone to reach the world championship stage. This was regarding his reaction after Roman Reigns made personal remarks.

He further added that the rivalry becomes much more intense if it’s personal, and took a shot at Roman Reigns’ limited schedule!

At this stage, if you have thin skin, I don’t think you would have made it to this stage. ‘[The championship is] important to me and it’s important to him, but there’s so much more when it’s personal. This is very personal. I’m sure it’s probably going to get more wildly personal whenever he decides to show up to work.

Speaking of Reigns’ next date, he is advertised for next week’s episode of WWE RAW at Indianapolis, which is the RAW after Elimination Chamber.
