CM Punk Breaks Character To Praise Former WWE Champion: “One Of The Greatest”

CM Punk ruffled some feathers when he returned to WWE at Elimination Chamber 2023.

One of the superstars who voiced their unhappiness regarding Punk’s return is Seth Rollins.

He claimed that other superstars, such as Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and he, among others, were the ones who carried WWE on their shoulders for the past 10 years.

The Best in the World appeared on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike. During that conversation, he got candid about the rise of pro-wrestlers in the industry, especially the ones who do not fit a certain template, yet they bet upon themselves. While talking about it, he referenced Seth Rollins as an example and even named him one of the greatest superstars.

I think Seth Rollins is a great example of that. You know, he’s a guy that fit the same mold as I did. He didn’t have the size. You wouldn’t look at him and be like, oh yeah, he’s a world champion.

And now he’s multiple time, you know, heavyweight champion. And one of the, it pains me to say it, but he’s one of the greatest superstars over the last 10, 12 years. [H/t: Ringside News]

CM Punk and Seth Rollins have had a heated rivalry ever since the former returned to the company. CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship after The Visionary relinquished the title owing to an injury. It is like Rollins will pursue the title once he returns to WWE.
