CM Punk Spotted At NJPW Battle In The Valley

CM Punk

CM Punk attended a wrestling show on Saturday night by sitting in the crowd among the fans.

The last time CM Punk appeared on camera at a pro wrestling show was at AEW All Out in September 2022 when he defeated Jon Moxley to become the AEW World Champion for the second time.

After that match, Punk unleashed a post-show rant trashing all kinds of people involved in AEW like his former friend Colt Cabana, he didn’t like comments from “Hangman” Adam Page, and the AEW EVPs like Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson).

Following his ranting in front of the media that was broadcast all around the world, Punk got into a locker room fight with Omega and The Young Bucks. Punk’s friend and now former AEW Producer Ace Steel was involved in the fight too. The most popular version of the story was that Punk threw punches with Matt while Steel threw a chair that gave Nick a black eye and Steel also bit Omega in the arm.

The backstage All Out fight led to Steel being fired, The Elite were suspended and kept off television for two months while Punk’s future in AEW is unknown at this point. CM Punk also suffered a torn triceps in the match with Moxley, so he hasn’t been able to wrestle since September anyway.

Last night at the NJPW Battle of the Valley pay-per-view in San Jose, CM Punk was in attendance with his friend Lars Fredricksen while also chatting with Gisele Shaw of Impact Wrestling. Other wrestling people were there too. Punk was not shown on camera during the show. You can see the photos below.

As for when Punk may return to the ring, he is expected to be healthy enough to wrestle again soon although he may never wrestle again for AEW due to the bad blood with The Elite and others in the company. However, AEW still has Punk under contract, so he’s not a free agent that is able to leave.
