CM Punk Makes Heartbreaking Personal Confession: “I’ve Cried Once A Day”
CM Punk has revealed that he cries daily because of a significant loss in his life.
The most famous dog in pro wrestling may be the lovable Larry, CM Punk and AJ Lee’s dog, whom they rescued about a decade ago.
In early December 2025, Punk and AJ announced that their beloved dog Larry had passed away. There were many tributes from Punk’s friends, and even WWE paid tribute to Larry.
CM Punk is on the cover of the WWE 2K26 video game, which is also going to pay tribute to Larry. It was announced that Larry, who Punk rescued from PAWS Chicago, will appear as an in-game manager in MyFACTION mode.
In a new interview with GamingBible, CM Punk spoke about what it means that WWE 2K26 honored Larry like that.
“It means a lot. I’ve cried once a day since Thanksgiving, you know, so it’s still pretty fresh, and it’s still pretty raw.”
“We Did A Beautiful Thing For Him” – CM Punk On Larry
While the lovable little man Larry likely had a rough life due to health issues, he also received a lot of love from CM Punk and AJ Lee.
“I don’t know if it’s ever gonna go away. My experience with Larry, although painful, I think we ultimately did a beautiful thing for him. But looking at pictures of him always makes me smile. Being able to share that joy with the world, it means a lot, you know.”
As he continued, Punk spoke about the support from fans for Larry.
“I see constant signs in the crowd and people’s messages, specifically about Larry. It’s great, you know, fans are always drawing him and making bracelets with his name on them and gestures like that. I love that little dude, and it’s cool to see that a lot of other people did too.”

CM Punk used a loved one’s death to his advantage on WWE Monday Night Raw when he had a promo exchange with his WrestleMania 42 opponent, Roman Reigns. The World Heavyweight Champion Punk ended their promo by telling Reigns that he’s going to bury him next to his father, WWE Hall of Famer, Sika. Punk left at that point, while Reigns was likely furious about it, and perhaps Reigns will invoke Larry in response.
