CM Punk Blasts Bryan Alvarez, Shares Old Email
CM Punk has been the talk of the wrestling world with many expecting the star to be announced for AEW’s new Collision show but Punk apparently has something else on his mind.
Punk could yet still be announced as returning to AEW in a matter of hours on Dynamite but the situation with him and the company is again said to be strained, this time over the status of former producer Ace Steel who was fired for his part in the post-All Out fight in 2022.
While speculation continues, CM Punk has taken to Instagram to launch an attack on the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez who discussed the situation surrounding Punk and the Collision announcement on Wrestling Observer Live. Punk clearly wasn’t a fan of what was said as he shared the following message:
“Look everyone, Bryan Alvarez doesn’t like it when misinformed internet trolls make up rumors about him so please stop making up rumors and stories for clicks while Bryan makes up rumors and stories for clicks okay? He’s married for gods sake! By gawd that man has a family!!! (Bryan Alvarez shut the f*ck up and stop talking about me challenge day 1)”
Punk then posted a screenshot from what is apparently an email from Bryan Alvarez that is said to be years old where Alvarez denies having an issue with Punk stemming from the former WWE Champion dating Maria. Punk then continues, bemoaning the attention he still receives despite his continued absence from TV:
“Friendly reminder: I haven’t been on tv in nine months and y’all still just can’t stop talking about me. Maybe stop, you’ll feel better. Love, hate, it’s all the same. I don’t enjoy being the sole person that props up entire misinformed clickbait industry based on toxic gossip from lying sources, but what can you do? When you’re the king, it comes with the crown.”
Alvarez has apparently responded to Punk’s messages with something that many onlookers will also be thinking: “LOL WAT”
Many fans will remember the post-All Out press conference began with Punk taking shots at members of the wrestling press and it appears he still remains unhappy with sections of it.
