Chris Jericho Gives His Take On Logan Paul In WWE

Logan Paul

AEW star and Ring of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho has given his thoughts on the “stunt casting” of Logan Paul competing in WWE.

Logan Paul was the centre of attention in WWE when the company returned to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel as Paul challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in only his third-ever wrestling match.

While some fans and onlookers were less than thrilled about Logan Paul appearing in such a high-profile position, Chris Jericho wasn’t one of them.

Speaking on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, Jericho explained why Paul’s inclusion in WWE may be akin to “stunt casting” but it’s best for business:

“I think it’s awesome. Anytime you can get somebody that’s from the outside world coming into wrestling and putting a spotlight on it, it’s great. Logan Paul’s good for the business, because it gets more eyeballs onto the show for people who might not watch wrestling.”

“If they aren’t happy with it, Howie, they don’t understand business because the most important thing is selling tickets. That’s the most important thing. So, I don’t care if it’s Logan Paul or Howie Mandel or the return of Steve Austin or whatever it may be, it’s stunt casting and if it works, it’s fine. There’s always going to be people that are angry that Logan Paul’s in wrestling but if it works, then you can’t worry about the people that are going to be angry.”

Chris Jericho will have his hands full in his own title match at Full Gear when The Ocho puts his ROH World Title on the line in a Four-Way match against Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson, and Sammy Guevara.
