Bryan Danielson Says It Would Be Difficult For Wife Brie Bella To Join Him In AEW

The AEW debut of Bryan Danielson was a huge addition to the AEW roster, but the former WWE Champion isn’t sure if his wife Brie Bella will be joining him.

Danielson appeared at All Out on Sunday at the end of the pay-per-view. It was after Kenny Omega beat Christian Cage to keep the AEW World Title. It was also after a debuting Adam Cole showed up to join Kenny and The Young Bucks in The Elite – the top heel faction in AEW. It looked like Cole might be a hero saving Christian, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy from an attack, but instead, Cole superkicked Jungle Boy. Shortly after that, a familiar face showed up.

A theme song played that sounded similar to the start of his WWE music and then it changed after that, but the man was there. Bryan Danielson arrived in AEW with the fans chanting “YES” for the popular wrestler. Within seconds, Bryan worked with the other babyfaces to dispatch the heels with Bryan hitting Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks with a running knee to the head. The show ended with Danielson celebrating with his new allies.

Following All Out, Danielson took part in a post-show media scrum where he took questions from the media on hand. When Danielson was asked about the possibilities of his wife WWE Hall of Fame wife Brie Bella joining AEW, Bryan wasn’t sure about it:

“So I mean, that would be very difficult, like, it was hard for me to come here, right? Because we have so many ties within WWE. She’s happy there, she has so many business connections there, so I don’t know.”

The Danielsons have been married since 2014 and they have two children together – daughter Birdie and son Buddy. Among the ties within WWE that Danielson is that WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis is Brie’s stepfather since he’s married to Brie’s mom. The couple’s private life has been featured heavily on Total Divas and Total Bellas although both shows are not on anymore.

Brie and twin sister Nikki were inducted in the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame with the ceremony taking place this past April due to being delayed last year. There have been rumors of a Bella Twins return to WWE, but no specific date has been announced.
