Blockbuster Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania Match May Not Happen
A huge match expected at WWE WrestleMania 42 featuring Brock Lesnar might be off the table.
Despite being named dozens of times in the sexual abuse lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, WWE decided enough was enough and brought Brock Lesnar back into the fold in the summer of 2025.
Lesnar ended up back in the ring for the first time in two years at Wrestlepalooza, where he squared off with John Cena as part of Cena’s year-long retirement tour.
For the first time since 2023, Brock Lesnar was part of the men’s Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia. The Beast Incarnate entered the bout at number 22, and his time in the Rumble will best be remembered for an epic staredown with former NXT Champion Oba Femi. Lesnar was the man to eliminate Femi from the match before Lesnar, himself, was dispatched by Cody Rhodes and LA Knight.
Many fans took the staredown as a huge tease that Lesnar and Femi will clash one-on-one at WrestleMania 42. But it might not be as nailed on as people think.
Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi Still Not Certain
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that he’s been told that a showdown between the two behemoths is anything but certain:
That’s not 100 percent by the way… it could happen. I’m not saying it’s not happening. I’m just saying that I was told this one’s not 100 percent, and that was the Lesnar and Oba Femi match.
The last time Lesnar appeared on the grandest stage of them all was back in 2023 when he defeated Omos in a one-on-one bout.
