Massive Brock Lesnar Bombshell Dropped By WWE Star; It’s Not Oba Femi
Brock Lesnar teased retirement at WWE WrestleMania 42 after his loss to Oba Femi on Night 2. However, it was all a ruse, and The Beast Incarnate has returned to challenge Femi in a rematch at Clash in Italy.
Lesnar was originally rumored to be retired at the hands of Gunther. So when he signaled his retirement at Mania last month, the WWE Universe thought they might never get to see the long-teased Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther match.
Now that Lesnar has returned, talks about a potential match between the two have started again.
Gunther Is Interested In A Match Against Brock Lesnar
In a new interview with the Italian Wrestling Channel, Gunther was asked whether he’s interested in a potential match with Lesnar. The Ring General replied that he is currently focused on his upcoming match against Cody Rhodes.
But after he is done with The American Nightmare, he would be interested in having a match with Lesnar.
“I wasn’t even there on that day at Mania, because it was the day after me, when a lot of it happened with Brock, so I only saw it in a headline, and that’s literally all the info I had. Obviously, he’s back now, but I haven’t thought about it.”
“I’m really focused on what I’m doing with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now. After I beat Cody [Rhodes] then Brock [Lesnar] can challenge me, and we’ll do that.”
Gunther is set to be in action at Clash in Italy, where he will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, while Brock Lesnar will face Oba Femi in a rematch, as mentioned above.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, marking the first time a WWE PLE is being held in the country.
