Britt Baker has given an update on Adam Cole has he continues his recovery from numerous injuries.
In recent weeks and months an injury curse appears to have struck professional wrestling with a number of stars across more than one company being taken out of action.
Arguably no promotion has been more affected than AEW who are currently without main event performers Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole and World Champion CM Punk. As well as long-term absentee Kenny Omega.
However, there appears to be some good news on the horizon. Speaking to Sportskeeda, Britt Baker gave an update on her partner Adam Cole.
Baker confirmed that Cole had to take some time off to recover from injuries that have plagued him in recent times before adding:
“He’s definitely recovering and healing,” she said. “I hope just like everybody else that we get to see him back in a wrestling ring soon.”
Adam Cole has been struggling with a torn labrum for a number of weeks, but it was recently reported that he won’t be undergoing surgery to fix the issue. The former NXT star also sustained a concussion at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, it is believed that this injury played more of a role in him missing time. Especially as he had only sustained another concussion weeks before at Double or Nothing.
Away from Adam Cole it has been suggested that CM Punk is also nearing a comeback. The most recent update on his condition noted that it “should not be long” until he is back in action. Meanwhile, Kenny Omega is also reportedly on his way back to the ring, with tentative plans calling for him to team with the Young Bucks at All Out in September.
