Breaking: WWE Star Shockingly Crowned New World Champion

A veteran WWE wrestler is finally a champion. 

Arianna Grace is the daughter of WWE legend Santino Marella, who has served as TNA’s Director of Authority for several years.

The second-generation star Grace was signed by WWE, and during her four-year run in the company, mostly on the NXT brand, she hasn’t been pushed in a serious way to become a championship contender.

However, Grace has finally won some gold thanks to WWE’s association with TNA.

At TNA No Surrender in Nashville, Arianna Grace beat Léi Yǐng Lee (formerly Xia Li in WWE) to become the new TNA Knockouts Champion.

Thanks to an eye rake and the presence of her fiancé, Stacks, outside the ring, Grace used an eye gouge to stun Lee for a few moments. Grace hit Lee with the Cobra (the dreaded “snake” that her father Santino used as a weapon for many years) and followed up with a Facebuster onto the knee. That led to Grace covering Lee to win the TNA Knockouts Title.

Grace and Stacks had previously betrayed Santino, but at least on this night, the Cobra came in handy for Santino’s daughter as Grace became a champion for the first time.

WWE Stars Compete At TNA No Surrender

Here’s a rundown of the TNA No Surrender results featuring some WWE stars in action.

* Jody Threat won a Knockouts Battle Royal to earn a shot at the Knockouts Title. The wrestlers in the match were Mara Sadé, Tessa Blanchard, Mila Moore, Victoria Crawford, Elayna Black, Rosemary, Jada Stone, Myla Grace, Jody Threat, Harley Hudson &Tasha Steelz.

* Trey Miguel defeated Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to win the TNA International Title

* Mance Warner defeated Mike Jackson

* The Elegance Brand (Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance) (c) (with Ash by Elegance, Mr. Elegance, and The Personal Concierge) defeated Indi Hartwell and Xia Brookside to retain the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.

After the match, TNA Hall of Famer Mickie James showed up to save Indi and Xia from the Elegance Brand.

* Eric Young defeated BDE

* Arianna Grace (with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) defeated Léi Yǐng Lee to win the TNA Knockouts Title.

* Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Special Agent 0) defeated The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) and The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy)

* Mike Santana and Leon Slater defeated Nic Nemeth and Eddie Edwards
