BREAKING: Major Championship Defended For First-Time-Ever On WWE RAW

WWE RAW tonight witnessed a historic moment on the show after Dominik Mysterio put his AAA Mega Championship on the line tonight as he faced the OG El Grande Americano.

This was the first time the championship was ever defended on Monday Night RAW, marking a historic moment in Dominik Mysterio’s reign as the Lucha Libre promotion’s World Champion.

Dominik and El Grande Americano were involved in a backstage interaction tonight in Adam Pearce’s presence, who made the match official for tonight’s show.

Dominik Mysterio retains his title on WWE RAW

As Dominik Mysterio headed to the ring with JD McDonagh, Finn Balor attacked JD backstage to force Dom to handle business on his own tonight. However, the AAA Mega Champion had some assistance none the less.

As the OG El Grande Americano began to dominate the match, Bravo and Rayo tried to interrupt in the match. As Americano fought them, Bruto Credo and Julio Credo came out to his rescue and chased them away.

Despite their intervention, The OG went on to lose the match as the other El Grande Americano was still present at ringside and he distracted the referee as the OG tried to get the win.

The OG went to attack Grande and take his mask off, but was in perfect position for Dom to hit him with the 619 before following it up with a Frog Splash to retain the AAA Mega Championship on WWE RAW.
