BREAKING: Ex-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Busted Open On AEW Dynamite
AEW is heating the storytelling on its television shows with the promotion heading towards arguably the biggest pay-per-view of the year with AEW Double or Nothing just around the corner.
Tonight’s edition of Dynamite kicked off with a huge 10-man tag team match with huge implications for the World Tag Team Championship match at the show.
Current champions, FTR, will put their tag team titles on the line against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in a huge “I Quit” match, which will see Cope and Cage retire as a team if they fail to beat FTR.
Tonight’s show began with these two teams taking part in a major 10-man tag team match, where Cope and Cage were joined by The Youngbucks and Orange Cassidy. Meanwhile, FTR had the company of Tomasso Ciampa and The Dogs’ David Finlay and Clarke Connors.
The match began with a massive brawl between the two sides, who were fighting with each other all over the arena. As the action came back to the ring, they were evenly matched at the beginning before the heels took control of the match.

They cornered Christian Cage for a major part of the match and had him reeling in the ring before they took out all his tag partners, not allowing him to make a tag. Cage somehow turned the tide on Dax and crawled for a tag to a recovered Copeland.
He came in with the hot tag and cleared the ring of every member of the opposite team. The former AEW champion then had Clarke Connors trapped in their corner before everyone hit him with multiple attacks.
The faces then took control of the match and took four members of the opposite team out with simultaneous dives from all four turnbuckles, and Cope hit his trademark DDT on Connors for a two count.

FTR tried to catch Cope by surprise and hit him with the Shatter Machine as he was distracted, but Cassidy broke up the pin, leading to another brawl between both teams that saw multiple members hit their finishers. The brawl led to Cage being busted open on the show as he was seen bleeding from near his left eye.
Connors took Christian out with a huge spear and tried to do the same to Cope. However, he moved out of the way, and he took Dax Harwood out by mistake. He would then be hit with a double Superkick by The Bucks, followed up with an Orange Punch from Cassidy and a Spear from Cope for the win on AEW Dynamite.
