Bray Wyatt Officially Makes His Return To WWE At Extreme Rules

On Saturday, the tension was thick all day, and the closer and closer we got to the kick off of WWE Extreme Rules, the tension kept increasing. This, because of the massive anticipation of the return of Bray Wyatt after weeks of secretive clues and teases.

Throughout the entire three hours of Extreme Rules, there was no sight nor mention of Wyatt or “White Rabbit,” with the exception of a shortened tease from the QR clip that fans were scanned to already on Friday night’s Smackdown, and there also happened to be a quick snippet of somebody in a white rabbit costume outside of the arena before the show. Combined for just a few seconds, that’s all fans got of the mystery.

During the main event between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle, the crowd even got impatient, chanting “we want Wyatt” over and over again. After Riddle got the victory, WWE TV was then presenting the show as if it were closing out, with no Bray Wyatt being delivered at all.

Then, it happened.

As Riddle was walking backstage with Daniel Cormier, the lights cut out and the arena went completely dark. Immediately, thousands of fans turned on their cell phone flashlights in symbolic of “fireflies” that are associated with Wyatt.

After the stage was set, you could then hear the singing of “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands,” which the fans erupted to. As the song went along, the camera then zoomed in and put a spotlight on multiple human-size characters from the Firefly Fun House – Huskus The Pig Boy, Mercy The Buzzard, Rambling Rabbit and Abby The Witch. But there was also another character that got spotlighted: The Fiend.

The arena went dark again, with the camera then zoning in on a door with a bright light behind it and smoke coming out of it. Being able to cut the tension with a knife, the crowd started getting antsy, cheering for Wyatt to come out.

Then, the door blasted open, and after a few seconds, a masked figure came out with a lantern. When the figure took the mask off, it was revealed to be Bray Wyatt, confirming his return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Wyatt then blows out the lantern, which leads to the end of the show.
