Bray Wyatt Was Wanted By Independent Promotion

Bray Wyatt

An independent wrestling company run by former WWE superstar EC3 has revealed that they were interested in using Bray Wyatt on their shows.

The former WWE and Universal Champion Bray Wyatt has been a free agent in pro wrestling since WWE released him on July 31st, 2021. The last televised match that Wyatt had was at WrestleMania 37, which was nearly four months earlier.

Following Wyatt’s WWE release, there were reports that McMahon butted heads with Wyatt on some creative issues. Now that McMahon has retired from daily WWE activites, it’s possible that WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque could bring back Wyatt since Triple H is running WWE creative.

While Wyatt has stayed silent about his potential return to wrestling, there are likely a number of promotions that would want to use him. One of those promotions is the Control Your Narrative group run by EC3, who gained fame in TNA/Impact before joining WWE using that moniker.

During an interview with Sportskeeda, EC3 talked about how he and Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) discussed wanting to bring in Wyatt, but admitted that things didn’t ever become that serious:

“So as far as Control Your Narrative, yeah, I think Adam and I definitely laid some teasers for him, and there was some talk. There was nothing ever seriously on the table or anything. But he’s awesome, so hope he gets back too.”

By saying “gets back” there, EC3 was referring to WWE. Braun Strowman was also released by WWE (in June 2021), but he made his WWE return this past Monday on Raw as well as Smackdown.

A recent report also suggested that Wyatt has a “standing offer” to join Freddie Prinze Jr.’s future wrestling promotion that will launch at some point ni the future.
