“Y’all Gonna Miss” – Bold Statement Issued About Major WWE Star
A current veteran wrestler has received high praise from a WWE Hall of Famer for their latest television work.
The Stamford promotion and its talents are on a month-long European Summer Tour, which kicked off in Liverpool with a house show on May 28, followed by the SmackDown taping (May 29).
One of the marquee matches on the show at the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona, Spain, took place between The Miz and Axiom, who was competing in his home country.
Their match was being advertised since last week following a backstage confrontation between the two wrestlers.
Just over a year ago, Axiom had taken on Gunther at the same venue during the March 14, 2025, episode of SmackDown, where he expectedly fell short.
This time around, though, he was facing The Miz, who is around the same build as he is. Both WWE superstars put on a good match, with the hometown talent getting over for a change.
In the closing minutes, The Miz got distracted by the lights going out a couple of times (due to Danhausen’s experiments backstage), allowing Axiom to hit a Spanish Fly and his Golden Ratio kick for the victory.
WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry Praises The Miz After SmackDown
The Miz has been involved in a months-long feud with Danhausen, who previously “cursed” him, leading to the veteran getting caught in a series of humiliating mishaps.
In addition to his match, The Miz was also involved in multiple backstage segments with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. Speaking on the latest Busted Open After Dark podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry praised the former world champion for his work on the show.
Henry also claimed that the 45-year-old was in his prime and is getting the respect that he deserves from his employer, stating that the fans will miss him after he retires.
Y’all gonna miss Miz when he’s gone. Miz, he said in his promo with Nick Aldis that he was in his prime. And I truly believe that. I truly believe that right now, Miz is as good as he ever was.
The only thing is that, a lot of the times the companies don’t see it like that. And I think right now they are showing him the respect he deserves as a Grand Slam Champion.
Not only do they bring it up all the time, which is a bonus for Miz because of his sense of accomplishment. But he can still get in there and go with anybody. And he’s proven that this year and last year, we saw Miz have some unbelievable matches. [H/T: WrestleTalk.com]
The Miz is one of only two two-time Grand Slam Champions in WWE, alongside Seth Rollins.
