Bianca Belair better hope she’s ready for WrestleMania 39 as she knows she’ll now defend her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka.

Bianca Belair had to wait to know who she’d be facing at WrestleMania 39 after the women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley chose to challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

The four runners-up from the Royal Rumble were named as the first four competitors in an Elimination Chamber match with Asuka, Nikki Cross, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez securing their spot in the match. Natalya and Carmella then won separate Fatal Four-Way matches to book their own spots in the demonic structure.

In Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in front of a rabid crowd, the home country favourite Natalya started proceedings with Liv Morgan. Rodriguez, Cross, and Carmella all entered the match before Cross became the first woman eliminated after being slammed through one of the Chamber pods.

Natalya and Asuka locked Liv Morgan in competing submission holds causing her to pass out and be eliminated before Carmella quickly saw off Natalya. Carmella and Asuka showered Rodriguez with kicks before simultaneously pinning her to see off the former NXT Women’s Champion. Asuka then submitted Carmella for the win.

Asuka and Bianca Belair have been allies in recent months, teaming together at Clash at the Castle and Survivor Series WarGames. Belair has already had to defend her title against another partner from those events, Alexa Bliss.
