Becky Lynch Suffers Injury At NXT No Mercy

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch was left worse for wear after NXT No Mercy.

Becky Lynch was in action at No Mercy as she headlined the show with her NXT Women’s Title on the line against the woman she defeated for the championship, Tiffany Stratton.

Stratton had attacked Lynch in the lead-up to the bout with a steel chair leading the champion to make their match in Bakersfield, California an Extreme Rules affair.

Becky Lynch did not leave No Mercy unscathed

Lynch came to the ring fully prepared with a shopping cart full of weapons which she wasn’t shy about using on her opponent. At one point, The Man pulled out a familiar black bag but instead of thumbtacks, she spread broken Barbie dolls out in the ring before dropping Stratton onto them.

Ultimately a Manhandle Slam into a pile of steel chairs was enough for Becky Lynch to pick up the win and retain her title but it did not come without cost.

Fightful Select reported that during her title match, Lynch suffered a laceration to her arm that required eleven stitches to close. Lynch was described as okay and it is doubtful if such an injury would cause her to miss any time from the ring.
