Becky Lynch has commented on her NXT Women’s Title loss while praising the new champion, Lyra Valkyria.

The main event of the September 12th episode of WWE NXT saw Raw’s Becky Lynch defeat Tiffany Stratton to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. For Lynch, a woman who has done it all in WWE, it was her first time holding the NXT Women’s Title.

Since winning the NXT Women’s Title, Lynch proved to be a fighting champion including her big victory over Stratton in the main event of NXT No Mercy, which was praised as one of the best WWE women’s matches this year.

During her NXT Women’s Title reign, Lynch had successful title defenses on television over Natalya, Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell.

However, this week on the October 24th NXT Halloween Havoc episode, Lynch lost her championship to her fellow Irishwoman, Lyra Valkyria. Going into the match, we learned that Lyra idolized Lynch and even got to meet Lynch when Lyra was training to wrestle. It was a dream match for Lyra and Lyra left the match as the new NXT Women’s Champion.

Becky Lynch believes the future is in good hands

The NXT run of Becky Lynch, which lasted six weeks, was called NBexT by the former WWE Women’s Champion and WrestleMania headliner. Lynch used her NXT Women’s Title to give hungry women title opportunities and a chance to get in the ring with one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time.

On Instagram, Becky Lynch issued a statement about her NXT run while also posting some photos, including one with her daughter Roux.

“The NbeXT era has come to an end. I am immensely proud of my run as NXT womens champion. From getting to step in the ring with some of the finest up and comers to open challenges on Raw and being a catalyst for highlighting the wealth of hungry talent we have on our roster.

@real_valkyria is the real deal and will be a star for years to come. The future is in good hands.”

Congratulations to Becky Lynch on raising the value of the NXT Women’s Title while she had it for 42 days and good luck to Lyra Valkyria as the new champion moving forward.
