Becky Lynch The Only Talent To Reach Out To WWE Hall Of Famer After Their Release

Becky Lynch

WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg has given his thoughts on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch and says Lynch was the only star in the company to reach out after he was fired in early 2022.

While under the management of Vince McMahon, WWE went on a cutting spree in regard to its roster and backstage personnel that saw dozens and dozens of people leave the company. In early 2022, it was the NXT office that took a hammering as the likes of William Regal and Road Dogg were let go.

When Triple H took over the reins after McMahon’s – brief – retirement, his long-time friend Road Dogg was one of the first to return with Regal rejoining the company at the end of 2022 after a truncated stint in AEW.

Now speaking on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Road Dogg has waxed lyrical about Becky Lynch and says that she was the only WWE Superstar to reach out to him after he lost his job:

“I always really liked Becky Lynch. I always really thought that her being, was cool. She was beautiful. That accent. She can work. She carried herself cool. There was just something about Becky that said Superstar to me early on and so I utilized her in that way.

“When I got released, she was one of the only people, and of course, I got a lot of calls, but she was one of the only talent-wise that called me and said, ‘What happened?’ It blew my mind that she gave a crap enough about me to call and say, ‘Hey, I’m sorry.’ You go and the machine moves forward, and some people get left behind, and on that day, it was me. But yeah, I’ve seen something special in her since day one.”

Becky Lynch recently teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Lita to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, a win that could put them on a collision course with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 39.
