Becky Lynch Not Cleared To Compete On WWE Raw

Becky Lynch’s planned match for WWE Raw has been scrapped as she’s not cleared to compete.

The main event of NXT No Mercy on September 30th saw Becky Lynch go to war with Tiffany Stratton in an Extreme Rules match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Lynch won the title from Stratton on the September 12th episode of NXT, and she successfully defended the title in an open challenge match with Natalya on the September 18th edition of Raw.

The Extreme Rules match at No Mercy has been heavily praised by fans and critics alike, and saw both women bloodied in the heat of battle. Lynch came to the ring fully prepared with a shopping cart full of weapons which she wasn’t shy about using on her opponent. At one point, The Man pulled out a familiar black bag but instead of thumbtacks, she spread broken Barbie dolls out in the ring before dropping Stratton onto them.

In the end, a Manhandle Slam onto a pile of chairs helped Lynch retain her title, but she didn’t leave the match unscathed. The bout reportedly left Becky Lynch with a nasty laceration on her arm that required eleven stitches to close. At the time, it was expected that she would not miss any ring time, and ahead of the October 2nd episode of Raw, it was announced that she would be defending her title against Tegan Nox.

Becky Lynch Vs. Tegan Nox Scrapped Once Again

However, a new report from Fightful Select reveals that Lynch is not cleared to compete after suffering damage at No Mercy. Therefore, her match with Tegan Nox will not take place as advertised.

This is the second time a bout between the two women has been scrapped, as Lynch was originally set to face Nox instead of Natalya on September 18th. In fact, the bout was changed just ten minutes before doors opened for Monday Night Raw.
