Following reports that Bayley is back in training, could she be about to appear at SummerSlam?

Bayley hasn’t wrestled a match in a WWE ring since June 26th 2021, where she teamed with Seth Rollins to defeat Cesaro and Bianca Belair on SmackDown.

At the time the former NXT Women’s Champion was locked in a rivalry with then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, with the two set to collide at Money In The Bank in an “I Quit” match. However, in early July WWE revealed that Bayley had suffered a serious knee injury and wouldn’t be able to compete at the event. It was later confirmed that she had sustained a torn ACL and would be out of action for around nine months.

Although at time of writing, it has now been well over a year since the star performed on WWE television.

While fans have spent months hoping that Bayley’s return to action would be imminent, it appears that they might not have to wait much longer. Following reports that the star has been in the ring training for her comeback, a new report from PWInsider has noted that she is currently scheduled to be in Nashville for SummerSlam weekend.

With SummerSlam taking place on July 30th the card is beginning to take shape. The summer spectacular will be headlined by the Last Man Standing Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship between Champion Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

Also on the show, Liv Morgan will defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey, Bobby Lashley defends the United States Title against Theory and The Usos put their Undisputed Tag Team Titles on the line against the Street Profits.
