Andrade Was Escorted Out Of WWE SmackDown Taping
New details continue to emerge about Andrade’s exit from WWE.
The 35-year-old returned to the Stamford promotion during the 2024 Royal Rumble after successful runs in All Elite Wrestling and CMLL.
He was featured in a storyline with Rey Mysterio against Dominik Mysterio, leading to a tag match at WrestleMania 40 against Dominik and Santos Escobar.
Andrade was subsequently drafted to SmackDown, where he would spend the remainder of his time in the company until his September 2025 release.
On September 13, it was reported that he was moved to the alumni page of WWE’s official website, although no official news was released from the promotion.
Amid speculations, it was confirmed that he was not injured.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed that the SmackDown star was facing disciplinary issues and had at least one wellness policy violation during his current run.
Andrade Was Told To Exit The Premises Last Month
At present, the specifics of the violation remain unknown, but it is certain that he was suspended for it without pay.
Also, during one of SmackDown tapings last month, Andrade was “escorted out of the building.” A source also confirmed that his removal was in relation to his earlier suspension.
The incident thereafter affected his ongoing storyline with Rey Fenix, with whom he had formed an enviable tag team alliance.
Reportedly, WWE had plans to feature Andrade and Fenix in a match for the tag team titles against champions Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy of The Wyatt Sicks at WWE Clash in Paris.
But troubles with the Mexican star had begun post-SummerSlam, forcing the creative team to alter their original plans and feature The Street Profits instead.
As for Andrade’s troubles with violating WWE’s Wellness Policy, an incident had occurred during his first stint, resulting in a 30-day suspension for him in January 2020.
