Andrade Encourages Beloved WWE Star To Leave Company

Andrade El Idolo AEW Return

Andrade El Idolo is causing mischief for one WWE star.

Andrade El Idolo had an interesting 2025, to say the least. Less than two years after he returned to WWE after a turbulent time in AEW, he was fired by the sports entertainment giant.

To the surprise of many, Tony Khan welcomed Andrade back with open arms, but another issue soon arose. El Idolo was actually bound by a one-year non-compete clause following his WWE firing, and once he returned to AEW, WWE sought to prevent it from happening again.

Behind the scenes, a deal was evidently reached, and in early 2026, El Idolo was in an NJPW ring and back in AEW as part of The Don Callis Family.

Andrade El Idolo Wants To Reunite With WWE Star

Taking to social media, Andrade El Idolo has asked fans where they want to see him wrestle next as he embraces his newfound freedom again, writing:

Usa!🇺🇸 Germany!! 🇩🇪 Japan!🇯🇵 Australia!🇦🇺 Which country is next?

Andrade’s former WWE tag team partner, Rey Fenix, responded with a supportive “Keep breaking my brother” message. But Andrade couldn’t resist prodding Fenix to leave WWE and join up with him once again:

Come on, bro! Let’s take over the world!! Let’s go for all the tag team championships!

While Andrade might have had a pleasant parting of the ways from AEW the first time around, Rey Fenix’s exit from the company was anything but. Fenix hit out at “inhumane” treatment as he was forced to hang around longer than his brother, Penta, due to missing a substantial amount of time from the ring due to injury.

Since joining WWE, Fenix has not teamed with Penta, and his last singles win on SmackDown came all the way back in May 2025.
