Alexa Bliss Comments on WWE Taking Care of Talent, Personal Experience When She Was Injured, More

There have been a lot of stories of late where we have covered WWE making their superstars take down their Twitch accounts. From WWE’s perspective, they don’t It has led to a lot of discussions about WWE calling their superstars “independent contractors” even though the superstars are not allowed to do things unless cleared by WWE. It makes the superstars sound like employees, but they are independent contractors and there’s no indication that will change any time soon.

Alexa Bliss, who is currently on WWE’s Raw brand, was interviewed recently on Alison Rosen’s podcast and talked about her experiences in WWE.

Bliss commented on how WWE takes care of their talent well.

“WWE takes care of us 100%, we all are in a contract, and anything that happens inside the ring, WWE takes care of. Our health is 100% priority, our health and safety is 100% priority in the company.”

Bliss didn’t address the independent contractor issue directly, but she did at least reference it a bit here.

“Unfortunately, we’re living in the middle of a cancel culture, where people try to start rumors, and make their assumptions of things. There has never been a time where I’ve ever felt uncomfortable about being in the ring, or ever felt forced about being in the ring.”

Bliss spoke about how she has dealt with concussions in the past and WWE has helped her a lot with that.

“Even when I was injured, I had concussions, and Vince said ‘Alright, well we’re going to send you to the best specialists there are’, and he did, and I saw a concussion specialist, and they went above and beyond to take care of me. I know everyone feels that way.”
