AJ Styles Recreates Iconic Moment After 10 Years At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
AJ Styles had a special surprise for his WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event match against Shinsuke Nakamura.
The Phenomenal One is set to put his career on the line in a fight against Gunther next Saturday at the Royal Rumble premium live event. Meanwhile, his former rival, Shinsuke Nakamura, challenged him to a match at tonight’s show.
Ahead of tonight’s event, Styles took to social media to reveal that he was wearing a gear he initially made for his match against The Ring General after feeling it was perfect for tonight’s match.
AJ Styles Wears A Mask To The Ring At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Heading to the ring tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, AJ Styles unexpectedly wore a mask. WWE announcer Michael Cole quickly went on to explain the meaning behind the gesture.
The Voice of WWE pointed out that the first time Styles ever wore a mask to the ring was a decade ago in his final bout in NJPW, which was also against Shinsuke Nakamura. Cole then stated that The Phenomenal One was going old school tonight.
