AJ Styles Reveals New WWE Role After In-Ring Retirement

AJ Styles WWE Raw

AJ Styles retired from in-ring wrestling in WWE at Royal Rumble 2026.

He had announced his retirement in 2025 itself; however, no one expected him to retire in the first premium live event of 2026. In fact, many thought it would be at WrestleMania.

However, The Phenomenal One has revealed that WrestleMania has lost its lustre, and hence, he did not pick The Grandest Stage of All for his retirement.

AJ Styles is still going to be with WWE

Since his retirement, fans have been wondering about his next chapter. While speaking on the Talk N Shop podcast, Styles revealed that he will continue working with WWE, but in a different capacity. He will be helping the new talent become skilled and confident.

I’m still going to be working with WWE. That’s not going to change. I have these dreams of helping out young talent. If somebody is not ready once they get there, it’s my job to hopefully help them get to that point to where they can do it, and they are confident when they step into a WWE ring. Being able to help with that is a blessing.

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, The Undertaker announced AJ Styles as an official member of the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.
