AJ Styles was involved in an intense feud with LA Knight on the Road to WrestleMania XL. The rivalry was so intense that fans saw The Megastar break into Styles’ house and get arrested.

AJ Styles and LA Knight had a scheduled match at WrestleMania 40, but before that, they got into a massive brawl during the WrestleMania 40 press conference. During media day, the two wrestlers were placed just five feet apart during their interviews.

Tension boiled over when AJ Styles threw a stool toward LA Knight, and the latter reacted immediately by tackling Styles, which started a wild, unscripted brawl.

LA Knight recently addressed the unscripted brawl during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, saying that he engaged in a physical fight because he wanted to protect the depth of their rivalry.

He was hoping that security would step in and break them apart in a matter of seconds. However, it took them quite a while to show up.

Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, AJ Styles also spoke on the matter and stated that he did not want the brawl to happen.

“No, it wasn’t supposed to be broken up by security. Because we didn’t know, there was no security there to break up a fight. They didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was not a good thing. It’s not what I wanted.”

“So I don’t know how much more I should say about that other than the fact that it wasn’t planned. I didn’t want it to happen like that. I just wanted to remain a heel. But then when LA Knight came over and headlocked me, that’s not good. That’s not a good idea. I was good with walking away and being the heel. Didn’t happen.”
