AJ Lee Makes Bold Vow Ahead Of WWE Elimination Chamber

AJ Lee is set to challenge Becky Lynch at WWE Elimination Chamber.

The former Divas Champion retired from in-ring competition in 2015, a year after her husband, CM Punk, left the Stamford-based company on bad terms.

While Punk returned to WWE in 2023, his wife remained away from the promotion until last year, when she finally made her long-awaited comeback.

AJ Lee Vows To Become Champion At WWE Elimination Chamber

Since her return to WWE, AJ Lee competed in only two matches. In her first bout back, she teamed up with her husband to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a tag team match at Wrestlepalooza. The former Divas Champion later participated in the Women’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series.

Lee recently returned to RAW to reignite her feud with Lynch ahead of Elimination Chamber. The two will now battle for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at the premium live event. The match will mark the former Divas Champion’s first singles match in over a decade.

In a recent interview with ESPN First Take, Lee vowed to leave Elimination Chamber the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Yeah, [my first singles match] in over a decade. A little nervous. I got back in at a tag match with The Best in the World and I had the best tag team in the world the last one. So, on my own this time.

Well, I keep saying I’m prod to say I’m the best of my generation. She’s the best of her generation. So, if you put the two of us together, nobody else to help us out. What’s gonna happen? Who comes out on top? I really think that I’m gonna leave the United Center with the Intercontinental Championship and then we’ll both have titles. How cute would that be? [1:19 onwards]
