Becky Lynch Called Out Over Major Mistake In AJ Lee WWE Feud
AJ Lee and Becky Lynch are currently locked in a heated rivalry in WWE.
The feud officially began in September 2025 when AJ returned after nearly a decade away and aligned with her husband to take on Seth Rollins and Becky.
The Geek Goddess returned on the February 9, 2026, episode of Monday Night Raw to reignite the rivalry. She interrupted Lynch’s opening promo in Cleveland, reminding her that she pinned Lynch twice last year, first at Wrestlepalooza and then at Survivor Series WarGames.
Angered by the interruption, Becky challenged Lee to a match to finally put an end to the feud. However, Lee agreed to face Lynch only if Lynch put the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line. The two are now set to clash at Elimination Chamber for the IC title in Lee’s hometown of Chicago.
Ahead of their match, the rivals had another intense confrontation on the February 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, trading verbal shots. Lee even dared Lynch to attack her and give her a “free punch,” but Lynch refused, stating that he does not fight in Memphis, before walking away.
Sam Roberts Calls Becky Lynch A Walking Distraction
Speaking on the Raw Recap: WWE Now podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts weighed in on their upcoming clash. Roberts said the Lee vs. Lynch match is bigger than many fans realize, and not enough people are taking the feud seriously because of Lynch’s “circus and carnival-like antics.”
“With all the circus and carnival-like antics of Becky Lynch, you almost forget for a second that this is a superfight. This is a dream match. This is a massive, massive moment for fans, for AJ, for Becky, to get to see Becky Lynch at this point in her career versus AJ Lee at this point in her career,” he said.
“Two of the best going at it for a title that a couple of years ago didn’t even exist; was something that people wanted for that division. I think that this is a much bigger match than people realize, and part of that is because Becky Lynch is a walking distraction,” he added.
