A new report has shed light on the feeling backstage in AEW after Andrade El Idolo was sent home, while Sammy Guevara remained at the venue.

Things aren’t boding well for the atmosphere in the AEW locker room.

After what has already been a tumultuous year for the company that has caused a rollercoaster of emotions to be felt backstage, another backstage altercation, this time between Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo, has caused spirits to suffer another dip.

This comes via DAZN’s Steven Muehlhausen, who reported during the immediate aftermath of the altercation that some members of the AEW locker room were “upset” over Tony Khan keeping Guevara not only at Dynamite, but having him get the winning pinfall in the main event, while Andrade El Idolo was sent home and removed from Friday’s Rampage.

Names of those feeling upset over the decision are yet to be unearthed.

The incident came after a few days of Andrade and Sammy going back and forth on Twitter. Though speculation was rife in the early history of the saga, considering Andrade was defending his AEW career in the aforementioned Rampage match, things quickly became very, very real.

Andrade remains officially signed to AEW, though is attempting to get himself fired.
