AEW Star Wants To Wrestle Charlotte Flair

An AEW star has made it clear that if the forbidden door were to open with WWE, they’d want to step in the ring with Charlotte Flair.

Whilst the Forbidden Door events between AEW and NJPW have set up plenty of matches which you wouldn’t have been able to see without that working relationship, the dream of WWE and AEW finding a way to work together is still one many would like to see.

It’s certainly fair for wrestlers to think about their dream matches if something like that were to happen, and one of those is former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker.

In a discussion with Mark Andrews on My Love Letter To Wrestling, the former AEW Women’s Champion admitted that she’d love to wrestle Charlotte Flair one day, whilst also naming IMPACT Wrestling’s Deonna Purrazzo as someone she’d like to compete against.

One of my best friends in the whole world is Deonna Purrazzo. Crossing a forbidden door that is definitely someone I would kill to have a match with, not let alone at Wembley Arena. Then let’s go to the other forbidden door, the other way. I always say I would love to have a match with Charlotte Flair. I think she’s one of the best that’s ever done it, and people, no matter what you say about her, she’s always proving people wrong. I think she is very admirable. Her attitude, her poise, it’s everything about her I looked up to.

With the accolades Charlotte Flair has achieved in her time in the squared circle, it’s no surprise that people from all over the globe want the chance to wrestle her. One WWE Hall Of Famer recently called her the best overall wrestler in the world.
