Kurt Angle has given high praise to four of today’s pro wrestlers but has named Charlotte Flair as the best wrestler in the world right now.

Angle has had one of the all-time greatest careers, after success in the 1996 Olympics he joined WWE and took to the industry so quickly that he was soon established as one of the company’s top Superstars.

During his career Angle worked with some of the biggest names in WWE history including The Undertaker, The Rock, Triple H, and John Cena.

After retiring, Angle has showcased his love of watching AEW and WWE on his podcast, whilst giving fans insight into moments across his career.

Angle has named the four pro wrestlers he sees as the very best right now, and gave the highest accolade to Charlotte Flair, calling the 14-Time WWE Women’s Champion “the best wrestler in the world overall”

The Olympic Hero was answering fan’s questions on the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show and was asked how he feels is the best wrestler outside of WWE.

“That’s easy, Kenny Omega.”

“I might have to make him my girlfriend. I love Bryan Danielson, but you know what, Bryan Danielson has been part of WWE.”

Angle would go on to discuss the best Women’s wrestlers, giving high praise to Mercedes Mone, and her work both in and after WWE.

But despite the praise, the Hall of Famer feels Charlotte Flair has delivered more consistently during her career, and named her as the overall best wrestler today.

“She’s [Moné’s] a good one to pick. That would be my favorite female [outside of WWE].

Listen, I love Charlotte Flair. I think she’s the best of all time. I actually think she’s the best wrestler in the world overall, I really do. I think Charlotte Flair has had more consistent five-star matches than any other person. She is really, really good. But Sasha Banks, Mercedes, she’s awesome too.”

During the episode Angle also discussed his favourite WWE match that he was not apart of, and his all-time favourite moment during his WWE career.

Charlotte recently discussed her desire to reach even higher levels in WWE ahead of her surprise comeback last Friday.

Charlotte Flair is looking to secure a 15th Championship reign when she takes on Asuka on SmackDown on June 30th.
